About the Instructor
Nell Tharpe, MS, CNM, FACNM, has been teaching suturing since 1996 and brings nearly three decades of experience as a full-scope midwife, educator, and leader. With a passion for helping midwives build confidence and skill, she offers small group workshops, individualized mentoring, and hands-on training rooted in simulation and reflection. Nell’s background spans home birth, birth centers, community hospitals, and tertiary care. Today, she continues to shape midwifery practice through teaching, writing, and advocacy while sharing her deep commitment to excellence in midwifery care.
