Pack & Chill
Pack & Chill is an intentional gathering created for learning and practicing midwives who want practical insight, shared wisdom, and real-life perspective.
Experienced midwives walk through what they carry, how their bag has evolved over time, and the reasoning behind their choices. We talk essentials, redundancies, and lessons learned in the field—the kind you don’t always get in textbooks or trainings.
Pack & Chill is equal parts learning and grounding. There’s time to ask questions, take notes, and reflect, but also time to simply be in community with others walking a similar path. Whether you’re still learning or actively practicing, this offering meets you where you are and helps you think more intentionally about how you show up to births.
No gatekeeping. No hierarchy. Just shared knowledge, lived experience, and a reminder that midwifery is both a skill and a lineage carried together.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Skills Day

This in-person NRP Skills Day is created for birthworkers who want to build confidence, strengthen clinical skills, and practice newborn resuscitation in a supportive, hands-on environment.
The focus of this session is skills, scenarios, and real-time decision-making relevant to community birth. We’ll work through newborn assessment, effective ventilation, teamwork, and common situations where clear thinking and steady hands matter most. This is a practice centered space, come ready to participate, refine your technique, and ask the questions you’ve been holding.

You must complete the NRP online learning platform prior to class.
The online course is a separate fee of $75, paid directly through the NRP platform.

The Learning Lab is a full-day, immersive midwifery experience designed to build confidence through context. This pre-conference workshop takes participants through the full arc of care—from the first prenatal visit to labor support, emergency response, postpartum care, and the fourth trimester. Expect didactic learning, hands-on skill practice, small-group rotations, real-time scenarios, and documentation woven throughout. You’ll practice clinical skills and strengthen communication, clinical reasoning, and your ability to respond clearly and calmly in a variety of situations.
Skill Stations & Scenario-Based Learning Include:
Intake and history-taking
Prenatal assessment (fundal height, Leopold’s maneuvers, fetal heart tones)
Standard of care timeline (labs, imaging, testing, and shared decision-making)
Poke Practice: IV starts, phlebotomy, and IM injections
Cervical exams
Shoulder dystocia response
Postpartum hemorrhage management
Pharmacology and medication decision-making
Newborn assessment and documentation
Experience a full-day, in-person learning with rotating skill stations, simulation, and guided case-based application.

This Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) session is open to those seeking certification as well as those wanting to practice and refine their skills in a supportive environment.
Participants will begin with a didactic review, move through guided hands-on skill development, and conclude with real-time drill scenarios designed to strengthen clinical readiness and teamwork.
