Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Skills Day

January 24, 2026 | 1:00–5:30 PM

Alexandria, VA

This in-person NRP Skills Day is created for birthworkers who want to build confidence, strengthen clinical skills, and practice newborn resuscitation in a supportive, hands-on environment.

The focus of this session is skills, scenarios, and real-time decision-making relevant to community birth. We’ll work through newborn assessment, effective ventilation, teamwork, and common situations where clear thinking and steady hands matter most. This is a practice centered space, come ready to participate, refine your technique, and ask the questions you’ve been holding.

  • If you are seeking NRP certification:
You must complete the NRP online learning platform prior to class.

The online course is a separate fee of $75, paid directly through the NRP platform.

  • If you are attending for skills practice only:
The online course is not required. You are welcome to attend solely to practice and sharpen your hands-on skills.

This offering centers preparation, not pressure. Whether you’re certifying or simply strengthening your practice, this is a space to learn, rehearse, and walk away more confident in your ability to respond when a newborn needs support.
